Patient Information
Appointments
We encourage all our patients to call us in advance to schedule an appointment with our orthopaedic surgeons. In an inevitable situation we will try to accommodate you without an appointment. We are here to take care of your orthopaedic problems, and we will do our best to accommodate all your reasonable needs. Appointment times are available five days a week; however certain physicians may only be available on specific days and times.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
In order for us to serve you in a timely manner, we encourage you to please:
- Complete all your paperwork before coming to our office.
- Bring a copy of your current insurance card and driver license/photo identification to your appointment for our records.
- Bring any old and/or recent X-rays, MRI, or any other related clinical results with you for our physicians to review.
- Provide information for your emergency contact(s).
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
We understand that visiting an orthopaedic specialist can be a new experience. To ensure you feel comfortable and well-informed, here’s a general look at what to expect at your first appointment:
- Check in a few minutes early for your appointment and complete any necessary paperwork.
- Share your medical history, current medications, and any previous treatments.
- Describe your symptoms, including when they started and their severity.
- Your doctor will perform a physical exam to evaluate your condition.
- You may need to undergo diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans.
- Your doctor will explain your diagnosis and discuss a personalized treatment plan, answering any questions you may have.
Sometimes surgeries take longer than anticipated or emergencies do occur, meaning delays may be unavoidable. When these situations arise, we request your patience with us as we do everything we can to make you feel more comfortable. We always make sincere attempts to adhere to our clinic schedule; however, if we know a delay is inevitable, we will try to contact you.
Cancellations
In the event you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please call or text us and notify us as soon as possible. This will enable us to contact patients who are on the waiting list for their appointments. We want to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
